Clear foul from what i saw, and you'd expect an experienced official to spot it
Thing is it happens at the other end it gets ruled out

Mullin knew what he was doing - if you look closely you can see Mullins hand pushing the keepers arm just as the keeper grabs the ball

I think it’s safe to say we are the best footballing side in the league. We simply play good football but also play it with class and dignity and are technically superior to any other team. It’s effective football as well and gets results. It’s almost like it’s a reflection or our owners. Calm, measured, effective and astute. It’s the clubs identity.

I also think it’s safe to say that Wrexham are also as effective as us. In fact twice this season they have been marginally more effective. They get results but in a different way by focusing on individual strengths combined with being masters of the dark arts. Also they play percentages by bombarding the oppositions box aerially and making box entries that way.

Different strategies with similar outcomes.

Will Wrexham's luck run out sooner or later or are they making their own luck? They won yesterday from an own goal. Can Mullin-Pen see them over the line? Will the long throws into the box and aerial bombardments towards the end of games continue to get them late goals?

It’s going to be interesting to see which strategy works when we play them. Ours worked at Meadow Lane and it can work again at the Racecourse. Our biggest challenge over in Wales will be the pitch.

Fascinating end to the season to see which strategy will come up on top and be the deserved title winner. For a football purist then the football gods should reward Notts with the title over and above the dark arts.

Completely agree Mad Magpie.

I think Wrexham's hoofball game has been extremely effective at home, the results prove that.
So will the pitch suit Notts passing game on 10th April? It should be drier but there are no guarantees of course.
I really wouldn't put it past Wrexham to plough it up a bit to favour their style of play.
The lower leagues contain many teams of giants playing on crap pitches with crap officials. Allardyce and Nolan subscribed to hoofball big time and it worked. It remains to be seen if Notts passing game can also succeed.

I'd like to think so, it's how football usually works, I'm just concerned now that officials are star struck with Wrexham's owners and unconsciously or otherwise giving them the benefit of the doubt. Refs favouring big clubs was not something I considered a genuine issue until the day I went to watch Notts at Old Trafford, then it was very obvious. Perhaps these refs feel they are impressing the bigger clubs and that by favouring them they are more likely they get to officiate high profile games in future and be promoted up the levels.
