    Prediction League - Newcastle United

Wolves head to Newcastle on Sunday. The match at Molineux ended in a 1-1 draw where we had a goal disallowed after VAR assessed a foul in the lead up to the goal. Newcastle tied it in the 90’ through a Saint-Maximin volley that Sa had no chance to stop. They are coming off three straight 2-0 losses to Liverpool, ManU (cup final) and Man City. Hopefully they overlook Wolves after playing a few of the big spenders and Wolves can leave Newcastle with some points. But I expect Newcastle will be eager to turn around from their current form.

    Newcastle 2-1 Wolves

18 February 2023 Newcastle 0 Liverpool 2. The only home League defeat this season S&E.

There must be more 1-1 results between Wolves and Newcastle than any other fixture!

Not going to get chance to see or listen to this one. Indoor Athletics takes precedent this weekend.

    Newcastle 0 Wolves 1 Jimenez.

I think Neves is only one yellow away from a two game ban.

Can’t believe Pope wasn’t sent off… we’re not getting much luck with Ref’s of late… Lemina sending off against Southampton, Gomes disallowed goal against Liverpool.

Oh well, on to Leeds next week… that old cliche, a must win game.

No other country seems to have this many issues with VAR. When I watch international games or other leagues, seems everything is done correctly and without controversy. You can’t predict what the officials will call even when it’s clear as day what should be called
