Sad to see some well know Queens supporters now going down to Ashington on a regular basis to follow them just because the don’t like Billy Hewitson.
Absolutely pathetic
Seeing the attendances recently between Dunfermline and Falkirk as well as last nights cup game with Falkirk and Ayr you have to very much question the attendances at Palmerston in recent hard times. Often you hear "well the quality of football is pure crap" but surely the Falkirk supporters have been through the same experience since relegation to the First Division but rather than look for an excuse to walk away they have continued to back their home team magnificently with around 3500 for the home games. Some may say that the Falkirk population is much bigger than Dumfries but it is around twice as big but it is simple that their supporters have continually stuck behind their club whilst the wavering Queens fans look for any reason to walk away and that is the reason why Queens are unlikely to challenge at the top level of Scottish football. We are very much a provincial club and until the locals get fully behind the club we will remain so.
Just a thought after the last couple of weeks.

Truly pathetic and just another excuse not to support their home team. You cannot tell me that the Falkirk support have been happy with the the running of the club for four or so years in the First Division, considering their history, yet they have continued to turn out to back their home club. That's the difference between the bigger clubs and ourselves. Something to consider?
Absolutely Spike. Far too many supporters making up excuse for not attending anymore.
You need to turn up and follow your team through to good and the bad times instead of picking and choosing imo.
The Chairman might not be Mr Popular but I dread to think where we’d actually be without him as there’s nobody else.
Spike it is coming up to SIXTY years to when Queens last had a decent average league attendance which was in 1962 - 63
when it was 5952 and it has dropped to now under 1,000 home fans. Unless we get into the top league which is impossible imo those days are gone for ever - it is what it is and sadly us diehards have just got to accept it - c'est la vie !
We will never return to the heights of the sixties with respect to the crowds as times and life have changed immeasurably as In those days for blokes the weekends were solely about going to the football and supporting your home side as there were little or no alternative.
The club somehow has to work out a way of encouraging supporters back to Palmerston. The free JB’s season ticket is brilliant but numbers are still falling unfortunately.
Marvin and his signings could make a difference but only if we start winning games again. The last few seasons have been a real struggle to watch.
