That pair must have lived and breathed pro-Scottish anti-English tripe 24/7 - a true folie a deux arrangement, I think. Implosion was inevitable, as they were entirely obsessed. Forbes seems much more reasonable and balanced, aside from her early naive statements. A lot of disharmony in that Party is now well and truly manifesting itself and the dissenters were clearly all stifled by the lunatic Sturgeon.

It’s also tremendously entertaining seeing the leadership candidates ripping into each other and acknowledging the multiple failings of their own Party over the last couple of decades. Mind you, they have a lot of material to choose from as the SNP has been a complete and utter disaster with everything they’ve touched including education, ferries, health, the Edinburgh trams project, the economy etc, etc, and much too focused on the central belt. What a truly disgraceful Party.

For the sake of accuracy, the re-introduction of trams in Edinburgh was a decision taken by Edinburgh City Council, and was supported by Holyrood’s pre-2011 non-nationalist majority in Parliament, with Salmond’s lot against it.

Having used it a few times in Edinburgh, it is an impressive service like, and I hope the Newhaven extension, currently under test, is a success.

On the other scandals you list, I concur with your dissatisfaction.

Ridden her (the Edinburgh tram) a few times too, generally comes on time, and when I got off I felt very satisfied. Got to the airport, flew home and back to reality.
