Therefore they don’t agree that either of the Rome statutes cited above apply, even if Russia was signatory to them, which they aren’t. Not to mention a few other features, such as the ICC is clearly not an impartial body backed by constitutional governance, nor does it apply its supposed laws consistently. As such, this is simply political posturing.
The Russians will simply ignore this. Or maybe they’ll even pass a law and call it something along the lines of “The Hague Invasion Act.” Has a nice ring to it, don’t you think?
