I pay scant attention to military matters, but I have read that shootie-gunny, hard-on-for-a-Humvee experts still see north Great Britain, and presumably the Northern Isles, as a key strategic area for offering protection against them pesky commies from the east. Putin is also alleged to have recently said that he might “take out a Scottish Island” - don’t think he had a date (as in a night out) in mind. Sullom Voe could be a possible strategic target in a UK-context for anyone who thinks that Putin might be deranged. The Vikings have already paid us a visit. The Romans were busy elsewhere. Viking Energy is now with us. Such a fine quiet place.

We could get the auld boating pond boats from the Duthie Park and kit them out with some tattie* guns or something similar and launch them against those pesky Russians.
