Thread: Jay Rodriguez?

    Jay Rodriguez?

A mate rang me this morning and said Jay's off to the MLS.

Sounds credible but I've no idea if there is any truth to this.

Just finished doing his house - spent a lot of money - but who knows if offers right he could go.

I did question the absence of Jay last Friday evening. There was no sign of him on Monday either.

Perhaps Ashley Westwood has been singing the praises to him. At his age, it would be a good move. I can’t see him being a PL striker now.

I've always liked him, he's an honest player, I always regretted him leaving us and it was good to get him back. He started the season well but then fizzled out just before he was injured.

I agree with your initial comments, but he should never have come back. It was a mistake, but I’m still not sure if Dyche really wanted him, or the decision came from somewhere else. I’m sure he’s a great guy, but it just hasn’t worked for him second time around. We would have been better off going for someone else at the time. Someone who wasn’t injury prone, and gave better value for money. The club definitely will not miss him if he goes to pastures new.

I believe he had an offer two years ago, but with the new baby decided to turn it down. Probably on his way this time.

It’s a ruthless cutthroat dog eat dog business BT.
