Unlike rugby, football has let injuries affect the game itself, whether it’s time wasting or trying to break your opponents rhythm.
GK ‘injury’: add 3 minutes to the game as well as the time it takes for treatment.
Out player injury: let the doc on to treat the player while the game carries on.
IMO time keeping should also be taken away from the referee. Stoppages should be accurately measured and added as extra time. It’s not rocket science.
