HUGE news this week, Chalky’s off the bottom! Alf, what are you doing? It’s payback for that promotion.

Meanwhile, back at the coalface, it’s still neck and neck at the top and with three weekends to go it’s anybody’s game. I reckon I’m just about guaranteed first prize in the ‘most clichés’ competition even if not this one.

Well done Cayambe and Nobby for a couple of nice 7s, and enough said Alf.

Oh, and sorry about all the draws this week. So far, in the games that I’ve chosen that have been played, 25.7% have been draws so this week’s five bucked the trend. If you’re interested, another 41.9% were homes and 32.4% aways. No? Oh.

42% Home wins is why piggy always took at least 10 home wins (out of 12) every week and proclaimed he was some kind of expert,he was the reason i didn't enter last season as i thought he wasn't playing fair.

He was simply playing percentages and it’s as legitimate a way to play as any other. Pin, form, statistics, we all use one or any combination to maximise our points tally. I use a bit of form and a bit of the most common scores which I’ve put up here from time to time for the sake of fairness. Nothing much has changed over the weeks:

1-0 ………39
1-1 ……..32
0-1 ……..31
0-0 ……..23
2-1 ……..19
1-2 ……..18
2-0 ……..16
0-2 ……..13
2-2 ……..10
3-1 ……….8
2-3 ……….8
1-3 ……….7
All others 5 or less

I should add that I only keep a count because I can be bothered. Anyone can do it.
