Fûcking hell, the paranoia’s strong on this one.
It’s a fantastic spectator sport observing the liars, thieves and pervs of both lots tear themselves and each other apart, probably with extra hundreds and thousands and a jube-jube atop the nationalist implosion. I’ve known since I was a nipper that tories are self-serving poor-kicking baastards, but to see the pretendy “progressive” self-aggrandising hübris of The Party disintegrate because Mama’s sapped out, is as entertaining as watching tory after tory step down to spend more time with their money.
Ever felt you’ve been cheated?![]()

Meanwhile, there’s been no real change in the SNP polling, as their failings are obviously being overstated by a hostile media. There is no comparison whatsoever between what’s happening inside the SNP & Conservative & Unionist Party. Labour are a total shambles as well.
That’s obviously some whatabouttery there but that will always be the case until there’s a better alternative. Just now there isn’t.
“It canna be wur fault because we were telt by Alex and Nikla and Kevin Stewart tha we ur the best at being a ciuntry and it’s the fault o the BBC and the English basturts and the Toaries and all them er…and abundant natural resources a highly-intelligent workforce and berries on Tayside and Baxters and whisky etc etc erc” E&OE.
Pretendy socialists, easily seen through.
To quote Duncan Shearer again, “Admit it boys, you just made a right cûnt of it”.
Carry on believing in The Party, and I’ll continue pointing and laughing.
You’ve been had.
I think it’s the other way about. Take the ferries for instance. Nobody is denying that’s a total clusterf*ck & the SNP should be held accountable but there’s plenty of blame to go around, including the yard itself, the management & (whisper it) the workforce. It’s been a disaster from start to finish. Even if it wasn’t though & they were delivered on time and built to spec, let’s face it, CalMac would f*ck up the service anyway.
The ferry story has being getting hammered for years, which is fair enough. It’s went swimmingly compared to uk procurement though. Never hear much on here regarding the money spunked on crossrail, Ajax tank, the 2 carriers with no planes, one being refitted, one being f*cked, or HS2 which looks like it won’t make it further than North London
The media coverage is wildly disproportionate, as is the faux outrage that comes with it
That's because these things are happening in england, a foreign country.
As for HS2, if they had ever been serious then they should have started it in Leeds/ Manchester and worked their way south.
Nobody ever listens to me though, they never have.
As for the SNP, well people vote for independence not for a fückin party.
Break it up and start again.
It’s a different country but we’re still chipping in. At least when the ferries are built, it’ll be a service based here
They were built up here, the hulls anyway.
The problem with the ferries is that bar the MOD, nobody in their right mind would build a ship in the UK, unless they have the incentives to do so and by that, I mean bribes from Governments.
The shipping industry in the UK as a whole is a rigged market.
Like that’s something new and exclusively aimed at the SNP.“Who’s the journo, and who’s the copper” was always the first question asked when any pressure or campaigning group was convened during my years of activity. It must be worse now with the proliferation of “social media”.
The SNP is part of the Scottish political establishment now, but hasn’t moved on from the mindset of a pressure group. That’s the problem with the cronyist patronage and promotion of dim-as-fûck, but shouty loyal nodding dogs whose life experience has been working in and around The Party. Time after time they’ve avoided putting their big boys’ and big girls’ pants on (probably pointless given the number of gropers and groomers it seems to have attracted) and moved on to tackling issues instead of pointing fingers, manna to the chip-on-shoulder nutjobs.
Independence is a fine aim, but it’s continually spoken about in the abstract. Kate Forbes, during the recent campaign, called that out, stating that her constituents needed to be shown what such a big step would mean for them. The 2013-14 White Paper attempt would have been a decent first draft, but was a guddle of good intentions, Party manifesto-level stuff, huge assumptions, poor risk analysis, and ultimately unconvincing. As soon as Gideon said “get to fûck, peasants” on monetary union, as he had every right to do, that was it knackered. And whilst he’s a creepy shyster bâstard who’s deceived supporters and voters time and again, the then FM does have a pretty sharp political brain. Shona Robison is now Scottish ‘chancellor’, Matheson has screwed up in every post he has ever held, Somerville’s tenure in education has wrecked FE, and put educationalists’ backs up. At least Gilruth has classroom experience, but I doubt that her voice is loud enough in cabinet to have any improvement made. WHERE’S THE TALENT GAINED THROUGH EXPERIENCE? And where’s the accountability?
And there’s Kevin Stewart, lest we forget.
