    Penalty and free kick shouts

Am I the only one who thought that Ajayi didn’t foul the Norwich player in our area and that grant was kicked and it WAS a free kick to us? Ajayi got the ball and his foot came down to ground as it would but standing on his foot came AFTER the clearance. If he didn’t get the ball and there was contact then it would be a penalty. Up the other end Grant was kicked no question to me.

Not clear from where we were sitting. However, I did think the referee had a decent game…particularly in light of the majority of Officials’ performances this season!

He did great because of what I said. Ajayi cleared the ball off the attacker and came down on his foot. If he just came down on his foot he would have prevented him from getting the ball. Ajayi got there first.
