    OT- Login Issues

    Good Afternoon fellow Millers.

After several months being frozen out as an observer only, I've managed to log back in, albeit it with a new account. I used to post as DerekProsser(East Anglia) but after upgrading my computer my auto login had vanished. The problem being I'd forgot my password. I have tried multiple times to do a password reset but the email would never arrive with the reset link on. I contacted Footymad admin about this and was ignored!
I have had to create a new email account on Gmail and then registered a new account on MM, and even then the confirmation link never arrived. But I input the details and new password and it logged me in.
For the last few months I've been observing the forum daily but haven't been able to post.
The reason I've created this thread is to explain the name change to avoid the old "multi" accusation, and to alert Cam/Brin to the fact there's an issue with the email system for password resets, validation links etc. Not sure if you have direct contacts with the admins but there may be others with same issue who have been locked out

It's a long running problem Derek over which we have no control and our contact with the overall admins. is the same way as anyone else. Many have been locked out, some like you return but others just don't bother unfortunately. It's a mess. I wish it was under our control.

I had a similar problem and spent several years just reading posts then for no apparent reason it allowed me in again.

Some users with recent problems have had some success through this:-

I tried that too Cam. If you click the part that says "Click here" on the link, it takes you to a message that says the "email function has been disabled by an Administrator"!

Footymad are more difficult to contact than Sky are when you want to cancel

Thanks Derek, that's a recent change as it did originally work.

PS I think Twitter now have the accolade as most difficult company to contact. As a public service who uses them to get alerts out we have had no end of problems with them recently. When our account was disabled for no apparent reason they sent an email with a 'contact us here' link which just took you to a page saying 'Don't contact us here'
