Not putting a dampener on it but Fosu losing ball on occasions again must have sealed his departure from here. Harding showed he's best right back here get him Chieo Rathbone Wiles on longer contracts. Wood apart from 1st half getting outpaced did his job well on must be his last home game for us. Next season we need fit stronger players. UTM

What a great feeling! Absolutely over the moon. We can have a relaxing final game of the season and enjoy the summer knowing we're staying where we belong. It feels good to break the yoyo string at the right point.

    Thoughts on the game.
Gutted for Chieo and Fergie. Over the moon for Odoffin what a strike. Great performance yet again from Viktor, Boro didn't make it easy on us and he had some key work to do.
Fosu made me nervous everytime he touched the ball. Hugill gave it 110%, didn't score but played his part in some key defending at crucial moments. Lindsay, true warrior. Great to see Wiles again, Woody, what a legend, that goal line clearance! Wow!. Had a tear in my eye when he led the lap of honour in the magic hat, I suspect thats the last time we'll see the legend playing in a Millers shirt at the NYS.
Rathbone was his usual non stop action self, Wes was solid as was Humphreys. Liking Bramall more and more, he's improving massively as a defender and getting stuck in, but has that frightening pace going forward. I think he's going to be a great player for us next season if he keeps progressing this way.
Kelly and Hjelde didn't have a huge impact but it felt really good and inspiring to be able to bring those two on, when the squad has been so threadbare it felt good to be able to replace 2 tiring key players with positive replacements.

As for Stroud, the guy wants it to all be about him. To have both sets of fans singing in unison about how unfit he is to referee really summed it up.

Props to the Boro fans who clapped and saluted the fact that we stayed up, good luck to them in the play offs.

What a great day, we are staying up! UTM!

An excellent performance against all the odds.
I think staying in the Championship is a greater achievement for a club of our size than getting there in the first place.
Very pleased for Matt Taylor, his staff and all the players.
A huge rebuilding job is needed now and I hope TS backs the manager to allow him to build a squad that can consolidate in the Championship.
    UTM.

Absolutely great that we've stayed up. Literally limped over the line in the end. Glad we did it today because I'm not sure who will be left to play at Wigan. The fact that we've done it with so many first (and second and third!) choice players missing in the run in has to be testament to the management. Strange substitutions again today though, but it worked so not complaining. Let's see what Taylor can do now with time to plan and build a team that he wants to see.

I agree, Fosu is a nightmare and he set up a couple of attacks for them by dallying on the ball and getting caught in possession. He's not one for us next season.
I'll be very surprised if Chieo is here next season but equally I'm not convinced he'll have a lot of clubs queuing up for him because there are a lot of flaws in his game that need ironing out. Hopefully MT will have a suitable, hopefully better, replacement lined up.

Fosu won the ball to pass to Rathbone who assisted the Odoffin goal

Might be useful to watch Leicester vs Everton tonight to check out the competence of a couple of our opponents next season
