Thread: Manchester City - v - Leeds United *** Matchday Thread***

Watched some of it back again and we definitely had more of a structure and moved as a unit a lot more.

Just need to add the actually playing football bit and marking spare men and Sam can then start smiling even more.

A good overall result given the relative gulf in quality and has preserved our goal difference which may be critical later on.

Having said that, if Haaland had been his usual self then he alone could have scored 4 or 5. Both their goals, and many other chances, came, as usual, down our left flank where 'walkabout' Firpo was either missing altogether or not able to make a tackle. Even Rodrigo got booked making a challenge to cover for someone who, once again, has proved himself to be the worst defender we have had for a very long time. At the other end, Barndoor was poor and was totally incapable of holding the ball up when it eventually reached him. Why don't we give Joseph or someone else a chance up front and maybe there's a left back somewhere in the U16s?

Thought Firpo did okay especially winning challenges in the air.

Mahrez is one of those players you want to double up on but …..

so is Foden, so is KDB, so is Gundogan etc

Every one of their players seems comfortable on the ball, strong, quick, fit and tactically aware. Against that backdrop we did pretty well.

Between Forpo and McKennie. They were both responsible for their goals - particularly McKennie. My ma coulda closed down the attacker faster to prevent ir block shot......

Lets face it Firpo and Mcdonald's , I mean McKennie ain't very good at their defensive duties and if by some massive miracle we avoid the drop I would imagine any any manager worth his salt would be looking to politely decline their services for future engagements.

McKennie prefers Burger King even though his surname begins with Mc
