I thought Cotter did well in most aspects of his game yesterday but Duff will not risk him with a start against Bolton , hopefully Mads is fit enough to play & we can return to our tried & trusted back 5 , more worrying for me was that the subs had little impact when they came on, Tedic was unlucky not to score & Benson was playing out of position but Thomas looked like the old Thomas with little or no impact going forward & to be honest looked totally disinterested .

Without wanting to make excuses as such for a poor display , it was poor , I was bored shyteless to be honest .

You have to factor in that we were playing without an edge to our play for obvious reasons whilst Peterborough were fighting to keep their season alive and a pot shot at promotion .

On the face of it we are going in to the play offs without showing any kind of form of late but does that count for anything this coming Saturday ?

I don't know to be honest but we will find out soon enough .

To get the best out of Luke Thomas he needs to be on the pitch for longer.
I’ve noticed it takes him a while to get up to speed - by bringing him on late in the game it is often too late.
He’s the only player we have that can make a big impact.
He’s a winger at a club who’s playing philosophy doesn't involve playing wingers.
He’s a bit of a square peg really - so it’s difficult to know where to start him.

Hopefully the game against Peterborough will be the two teams that meet in the playoff final.
Peterborough can expect a different Barnsley team that day.

Apart from the match itself I really enjoyed the afternoon at Oakwell .

The food was top notch to be fair , the staff extremely friendly and they were constantly coming to your table asking if everything was ok and do you want anymore drinks etc .

A bit of live music going on , a singer accompanied by guitar .

I was sat next to Neil of Tykes TV who was treating one of his sponsors and we had a really interesting discussion .

Afterwards MOTM Nicky Cadden came in and took some questions from the compere and hung around for autographs and photos .

Later on Michael Duff came in with his family and I managed to grab a few words with him and had my photo taken .

Last orders were at 3.30pm which was fine as I was starting to get itchy feet and head off in to town .

I'd unashamedly had my fill by 8pm and called it a night , although I'd had 10 hours at it , you could even drink whilst watching the match as long as you watched it on tv behind the curtains .

Got to be the daftest rule known to man .

I think the idea of bringing Thomas on for the last 30 minutes or so is to use his pace against tiring defenders but the problem is with Thomas is that he is the only winger I know who doesn"t take on a defender , he rarely goes past a full back or deliver the cross , if you compare for example with Hammell or Disco , they would attack a defender, drop the shoulder & leave them behind then they would deliver the cross, with Thomas is only asset is pace but alas more times than enough he fails to use it , he should be murdering defenders late in the game but rarely does .

Sounded a good and eventful day and like thy enjoyed thissen mi owd. Hope thi eeards not too sore today 👍

I last went in the exec box around 10 years ago. We beat Orient 2 nowt in Devante Coles first spell at the club. Shyte it wo and the drinking rule was, and still is pathetic as tha sez. A wunt gu back in one o them if tha paid me but that's just my opinion.

As for the match yesterday, I wasn't overly impressed wi Peterborough who could be potential opponents in the play off final should we get there. We gifted them 2 goals, we played with less intensity than normal and despite all that, we should've still got something out of the game with the chances we created in my opinion. I understand that they had a game plan and executed it quite well, but they're a very average side in my opinion. Put it this way, should we meet this lot at Wembley on the 29th, I'd strongly fancy us to win.
