Osbourne was a good keeper Swedish. One memory of him was when we were drawing with Everton 2-2 at home and he made a great penalty save in the 90th minute. My best memory though was of him having a pint off one of the fans while the game was up the other end of the pitch. He kept the glass by the post. lol Happy days.

He should’ve been n my bench alongside G Mac.

It should be said that there are so many players from pre 1972 who I never saw who in the eyes of our very old and our long dead fans who would replace any of the players mentioned.
Nah, Olsson of a similar mould as McAuley, but could have made the bench maybe.

I was stood at the Smethwick End v QPR at home in 76-77 and Ozzy had a half pint of bitter which he rested by the goalpost and a cigarette off a fan whilst we were camped in QPR’s half!

That’s why I like the 70’s, Sunderland v QPR, Sunderland displayed the FACup on a trestle table Stan Bowles made it his aim to knock it off with the ball, after doing so he ran down the wing and sat on the ball winding up the Sunderland fans
