The good thing about Hatful Of Hollow was the availability, on a decent medium, of the radio session takes. That was pretty ground-breaking in analogue days when the only way to preserve these gems was to record them directly on to cassette off a shîtey Radio 1 broadcast. I still haven’t heard a clean version of Dexys’ Radio 1 live show from Liverpool, broadcast on the evening of March 16 1983.
