The Open Letter Group members ‘rattled Nelms’s cage’ when they asked him awkward questions which Nelms did not like.
Sadly they backed off and Nelms retreated back into his bunker waiting for everything to die down.
I think if you look at the football side it is possible to argue that Nelms and Strachan have delivered. It also seems to me that the previous Dee4life board did exactly the right thing by bringing in new board members. For me, John Nelms is tied up with the Campy development. It might be that he makes a deal that recoups their investment and they see that developing Dens is a viable option. Hearts did it, have Aberdeen not made a similar decision?

Everything will not die down. It never does for Dees.

I do not think that John Nelms is tied up with the Campy Development as he should have had his full planning application submitted by now.
Pre Application Notice meetings are usually held shortly before a company submits its planning application to a local authority not every five years to string along the Dundee supporters.

Up to the beginning of the 2022-23 season successive Dundee FC managers had no problems being given funds to make ‘marque’ signings.
However this season Gary Bowyer was only able to sign Tyler French on a two year deal whilst the rest of his players were signed on loans deals or very short term contracts.
There must be a simple reason for the drying up of this source of funding.

Maybe don’t want to throw money in to a black hole, time for certain Dee fans to step up, the ones at the Arbroath new year game and the Cove game, maybe make more of an effort to get along to more games will help with budgets

What is his plan if it involves stringing along Dundee supporters? Seems to me the longer this goes on the more money they need to put in to cover the losses? Getting a result on Campy seems to be his only way forward.

If you were one of the Dundee fans standing in the long queue outside the Ticket Office at the Arbroath game on 2nd January 2023 after the game had started because there were no cash turnstiles for Dundee supporters you might change your tune especially as there were cash turnstiles in the Bob Shankly Stand for the Arbroath supporters.
The Cove Rangers game on Friday 28th April 2023 did nothing to encourage Dundee fans to get along to more games thanks to the blatant time wasting from the start of the game by the Cove Rangers players with the referee doing nothing about it until it was too late.
A Cove Rangers player sent off in the first half for continual time wasting such as their goalkeeper would have made the game a better spectacle for Dundee fans and supporters alike.
I felt cheated by Paul Hartley’s tactics during that game but fortunately he got his just deserts. Cove Rangers were relegated at the end of this season.

The longer he strings the Dundee supporters along the longer he remains as Managing Director of Dundee FC until eventually Tim Keyes gives up and advertises his 74.98% shareholding in Dundee Football Club Limited for sale.
