All completely unsubstantiated of course, but Saturday’s effort frankly looked so contrived to almost give the illusion that it was like he had money on first goal scorer…………………….

For popadom to top that list of something else but I think he does. ☹️

Hahaha yes maybe PP in goal at least he can dive when necessary......
He is a perfect example of why you can't scout players on stats alone, instead of properly scouting by watching players! I am sure that he must be high up in the stats when it comes to shot stopping....but if you scratch the surface, he has knocked about 80% of those shots back into play. I have never in my life seen a keeper that does that as often as Poppadom! If opposition players followed up on any shots taken...then more often than not, they will get a goal! The guy is a disaster and he must be a nightmare to have behind you in defence!
I put myself through the highlights of Saturday, but i didnt see anything to back this up. If Poopadom is in the middle of his 6 yard box and a shot is down his throat, then 9 times out of 10 he will save it or drop it within reach. But as soon as he has to think about his positioning and the shot is in from an angle, 9 times out of 10 his positioning is absolute pish. Even if he is in position, he disappears!
I was directly behind Penrice when he let off the shot for his goal, and i could not believe the positioning from our supposed keeper, and im sure Penrice could not believe his luck when he saw he had 2/3rds of the goal to aim for. There was another shot from a similar area where Poopadom stepped right to create the same space, but thankfully the shot was either blocked off in defence, or went wide.
Got my tickets for tomorrow but i have totally lost my belief in our ability to get a result.
That was very first thing I noticed first game of season how small he was for a keeper. Clearly it’s not the be all and end all, but simple fact a taller keeper has bigger wing span and presence. Think in Alkmaar away he actually got beat to a standing jump for ball with one of their players, when do you Ever see that. First game I actually thought he looked quite confident v killie, even by our second game he flogged the only goal v livi by being badly positioned. He has lost shots straight down the middle like St. John at home by poor positioning. Short wing span and poor positioning fatal. I honestly think a decent taller keeper could have got to livi second goal also.
And unfortunately ****e sinks to the bottom!
