That seems a bit peculiar. Surely a transfer embargo means a club cannot bring in more players that they cannot pay. Selling a player would allow a reduced salary bill and if a fee is involved, allow funds to pay wages. Surely the embargo sanction doesn't stop the embargoed club taking in money and reducing it's outgoings?
