Norwich (think I missed this one earlier)
Norwich City can confirm that Sam Byram, Kieran Dowell and Michael McGovern will leave the football club when their respective contracts expire this summer.
Josh Martin and Danel Sinani, both currently out on loan, will also depart at the end of their current contracts in June.
Dowell will leave the club having made 75 appearances in all competitions, scoring 12 goals.
Byram has so far registered 54 appearances for the Canaries, joining the side in the summer of 2019 from West Ham. His one goal for the club came against West Brom in a 1-1 draw at home.
McGovern is one of the club’s current longest-serving players, having signed for the Canaries during the summer of 2016 from Hamilton Academical. He has made 42 appearances in all competitions.
Sinani, who joined on a free transfer from F91 Dudelange in the summer of 2020, made 18 appearances in all competitions, scoring two goals. Martin, who progressed through the club’s academy, appeared 16 times for the first team, scoring one goal.
The club can also confirm that loan players Isaac Hayden and Marquinhos will return to their respective parent clubs following the final fixture of the season against Blackpool at Carrow Road.
Hayden has so far made 14 appearances for the Canaries after joining from Newcastle United at the start of the season, whilst Arsenal youngster Marquinhos has made 11 appearances, scoring one goal, since signing in the January transfer window.
Sporting director Stuart Webber said: “I’d like to thank the boys for their contribution to the club over the time they have been with us.
“Michael has enjoyed two promotions and has been an outstanding professional throughout his time with us. Kieran and Sam both enjoyed being in the squad for the record-breaking points tally we have achieved in the Championship in 2021, with Kieran scoring some valuable goals during the run in.
“We wish all of the players well. They know that they are all, along with their families, welcome back at Carrow Road or the Lotus Training Centre any time.”
Teemu Pukki’s departure from the club was confirmed in April. The striker has scored 88 goals in 209 appearances, leaving him fourth on the club’s all-time top scorers’ list.
