I was in a similar mode CT but after 3 guesses and only having vowels I spent ages running through every option I could think of I decided it must be an unusual word and managed to pluck out the illusive par.

Good man, CAM! You did very well considering you'd only placed one of the vowels by your third attempt. I at least had both of them in place on my first go but couldn't progress. (In fact, if you had had my hand you could have been in for an eagle - theoretically!)
