So, three weeks on and more from what we all suspected was going to happen, and despite the agreement regarding the takeover (valuation etc), nothing is possible until we have EFL approval, which will probably be given some time after the new season fixtures are announced.

This is why I said, a few weeks ago, that Radrizzani has done more damage to the club than Ridsdale, and for even worse reasons.

Ridsdale was guilty of a great many things that did great damage to LUFC, but he was also guilty of something that Radrizzani clearly hasn't (and hadn't) had for Leeds, ambition. Ridsdale was blinded by the desire to get LUFC into Europe and for us to stay there, and be part of the emerging PL, and to stay there. He made blunders, made bad decisions, for sure, but his decisions were driven by ambition (greed!) for success for LUFC.

Radrizzani has used LUFC as nothing more than a stepping stone to what he wanted all along, a plaything Italian club that he can waltz around in whilst his sports media empire continues to sponge of the enthusiasm of football fans the world over. His willingness to offer a ground he effectively only part-owned to bolster his bid shows the cynical and duplicitous capability of the man, and I will be glad when hs is gone and (hopefully) all memory of his time as LUFC owner will rapidly be expunged. He leaves the club, without any clear ownership, without an executive that knows what it's doing, a total absence of managerial and coaching staff at the start of a period of rebuilding that presents the greatest challenge to LUFCs continued existence in the clubs history. He makes Ridsdale look positively saintly, and dare I say it, Bates look like a god!
