    I know you can still only use 5 of those 9 but the question is-can we even muster 5 decent subs, yet alone 9?

    I remember when there were no subs. Players rarely got injured. Of course there were no hard tackles back then and pitches were like snooker tables.

    Will have to build new dug outs for all the non playing staff nowadays.

    Dennis Clarke was the Ist sub to come on in a FA cup final in 1968 for John Kaye .
    Another fact from this cup final WBA v Everton ,it was the Ist cup final on tv in colour.
    Also Astle was the Ist to score in every round.
