There are two local authorities in Scotland where affordable housing does not have to be included in new private housing estates.
Dundee City Council and North Lanarkshire Council.
Apparently this is because the cost of houses for sale in both local authority areas is a lot lower than the rest of the local authority areas throughout Scotland.
I was told this when I viewed the plans for the new houses being to be built next to Downfield Golf Club in May 2019.
I would certainly not fancy living in one of these new houses as they are jammed into a small site despite them being handy for Downfield golf club.
