Mm so your equating councillors with MP's? Nobody has been shouting about the many Tory councillors either, possibly because its local news rather than those in government? A sense of perspective is required.

I'd maintain that there are more honest politicians both national and local than corrupt ones, but of course they don't make the news! I'm surprised a public spirited person like yourself with so many reasonable and good ideas hasn't put yourself forward to show them how its done!

After all the screaming, she simply paid the fine and took the points. Something sadly lacking in the other 2 cases.

You are probably right, that there are more honest than crooked ones. But the very tone of that reply, leaves the subject open to debate and doubt.

I have no interest in all the 2 faced world of a politcian. But unlike many of them, I am honest to the core.
Probably too much so, as it gets me into trouble.

( on a side note, in the HMP- prisoners loved that. They knew exactly where they stood and no point asking. Many officers in that service, I can seriously say are not)

I went into a failing organisation once and pretty son discovered why it was failing, as most of the mangers and a lot of staff were on the take. It was simple but painful to turn around and didn't make me Mr Popular, but there we are, humans will often give in to temptation.
