Just watched as my french sat couldn't pick up channel 4 but somehow gave me Ch 4+1. Brilliant double save at the end but why were we so negative in the second half, was Southgate pulling the strings. TBH solid and I was impressed by the sub Madueke.

I think we could make a profit on him already. He looked sound enough but to be fair, it was a **** penalty, one of those coin tosses, as long as he went right it was a routine save. Good recovery afterwards though.

To be fair sinkov the penalty was debatable to say the least. I thought THB was immense and his performance stopped any hopes VK might harbour of bringing him to Burnley.

On the night I genuinely believed England were the better team and young James might turn out to be a steal at £19 million.

There has to be some optimism for the future England team if this lot can go through the entire tournament without conceding a single goal. Spain won their semi final 5 - 1.

I liked the way they mixed it up Lusty, I was not at all impressed with the antics of the young Spaniards either.
