Give him some slack… he doesn’t have a job. Not highly thought of by his fellow countrymen. He needs to support his family just like the rest of us![]()
Not really true is it Will?

Used his talent to earn his money, unlike any amount of people that benefit from the taxes I have paid since I was 17 years old and am still paying and will do fro ever and ever, Amen. At least he doesn't thieve of the food banks ---unlike quite a few I know.
Here we go again...

Maybe not entirely trueBut it's also not like he had a job here and left it cause he got more money over there. But it's also possible he turned down jobs in England because they couldn't meet what he thought he's worth. We don't know what's his motivation for taking the job. We can just wish him good luck, or not.

I wish someone would throw millions at me to manage a club. I will gladly accept the sack and a generous severance package after I have failed. I do have the experience of playing for St John the Baptist junior school and a bit of Football Manager. Is that a strong enough CV.
Stevie G needs to be careful there. A handout quickly becomes a hand off.
ONe of the other side effects of moves like this is the fact that England Under 20 manager, Ian Foster, has quit and is going out to Saudi as Gerrard's number 2.
He is the guy who won the Under 19 Euro Championship two years ago and then, in May this year, took the Under 20s to the last 16 of the World Cup. He will not be the last to go after the money and who can blame them?
Why they are not interested in paying the moon for a Dutch giraffe is beyond me.

Rumours up here that Saint Maximin could be departing the Toon and will end up in Saudi.
Of course there will be some Muslim players going to Saudi saying they have always wanted to live and ply their trade in an Islamic country. Naturally they have in the main been free to practise their religion in other countries and one might suspect the deal clincher was the money on offer.
