    Not quite. Unfortunately for us, our chances of promotion next season may already be limited. Due to misdemeanours by the previous owners, a severe punishment may be imminent. A fine, a points deduction, relegation, even demotion from the league, who knows. The EFL will be overcome with joy.

    Obviously the two named men, Lee and Conway, are in trouble. I can see Barnsley getting off lightly as it was they who informed the EFL that there was an issue.

    There was nothing but trouble when Lee and Conway came along. It was supposedly PL in five years as is often the case with a club's new owners. As it happened, they didn't even pay for a lick of paint for the toilets. Yes the club informed the EFL about the problems with the takeover but I still think there will be a points deduction. There are parallels with what happened at Wigan so maybe the best outcome for us it will be carried over to next season.
