    Genuine question and it might be due to the preference for a wider TV angle in the build up to the game to placate Sky who pay a lot of money.
    But then again Sky televise cship games too so maybe that’s not the reason
    I'm not sure why the Premier League specifies these requirements but, as you've hinted, it's probably about the overall presentation package for TV and other media outlets.

    I remember a report on Sheffield United when they returned to the premiership. The had to spend £5m on their media facilities.
