I really dont know what people were expecting from today? We were up against a team that are still on a high from their greatest ever achievement, playing a team that has had the heart ripped clean out of it!

While we have emptied a bunch of imposters that needed to go, i have serious doubts about this season if we cannot recruit for key positions if we do rid ourselves of the 2 or 5 that are rumoured to be moving on. 3 that should go, and 2 that might still do us a turn!

Honestly Chick, I've no expectations at all with this shower. The manager is a joke too, embarrassing as f*ck!

I thought that's what we did Chick . New keeper. new centre backs, some that can play in midfield etc. The young guns don't look like they are up for it either. Far too early I know , but... this is Scottish Futba at a quite low level. Get the sleeves rolled up and get stuck right in aboot it. ach..yi never know...

We have not got every issue sorted though. Defensive Midfield and keeper, maybe. Centre backs may just need some time to gel but why no Graham(and Sibbald) to start and still need another RCB. Then i think an attacking mid and striker are required.

Like ive said before, i think its gonna need some time to sort this out, maybe 3 windows before we get a team good enough to get back up.

The striker may appear next week, but it looks like its a waiting game for others to GTF before more new faces are permitted. If thats at the end of the window, then i hope we are still around the top of the league at that point.

Here is a couple of my quick observations from today, watching from almost pitch level wasn't greatest and was very sunny, bit lethargy about watching Utd just now so can't say I was watching too intently, but they should have won, performance wasn't great, Spartans deserved the lead, after that it was mostly Utd, but not enough goal threat. Think Denham got beat in the air for the first goal in the build up, after that it was hard to judge centre halves and keeper as they didn't have much to do. Tony Watts penalty was woeful. At the end we were putting in a lot of crosses and had a bit of pressure, but absolutely no one to win headers in opposition box. Not sure why we are starting with two def mids in Grimshaw and Docherty against Spartans. I think Goodwin thought this was his best team at present to start with, but I'd be playing the youngsters now to see if they are any good enough for the league. Another thing that really stood out for me today, just how poor our full backs are, they offer nothing going forward and are not great defensively. I'm not getting too concerned yet because I think we will get players in before start of the season, have to as that squad has too many average players and we need strikers.

I shouldnt, but im feckin meltin inside seeing that reply!

Back to serious, i think that first window looks like the biggest, but The Clown and Mulgrew have panned it in and stopping the glazers in. At least they have stopped something, eh!

The roon window is the target trying to get a fix on Ogrens wallet, which may be found by January to get a few players to get us into the play-offs.

Square window is everything back balanced and into place, and whether that is Ogren and JG still guiding the ship remains to be seen!

agree with this. We were the better team and so we should have been. The lack of any Ariel threat in the box or half decent striker cost us today. Watt should never have started today and don’t get me started on that penalty. Striker has to be a priority and hopefully a couple of other players still to come in. Still, no excuses for today that was just no where near good enough.
