Somehow we need to get more people making sensible constructive criticism of the failure to deliver any meaningful improvement in the lives of the poorest in society. It seems to me that we need to get the Greens out of their powerful position in Holyrood.

The Nationalists are the only people who can make their party change its tune. Nobody listens to Tories or New Labour Tories, or slightly Liberal Tories, and Green Tories don't exist, imo.
SNP give the layabouts, breeders and junkies everything, they hate aspiration and those that want to better themselves.

Somehow looking after yourself has got a bad name. I'm all right Jack. Need more of "ask not what your country can do for you, ask what you can do for your country" imo

It is the same with local authorities.
Some of their staff are loathe to do anything.
In April 2023 I contacted Argyll and Bute Council asking why the whole of Argyll and Bute Council is not a smoke control area despite nine whisky distilleries on Islay working full time and the Maltings in Port Ellen burning peat 24/7 to malt the barley for different strengths of peated single malt whisky.
There are also whisky distilleries in Campbeltown and Oban pumping their emissions into the atmosphere
Meanwhile all the towns and cities in the Central Belt of Scotland are all in smoke control areas. The centre of Glasgow is a Low emissions zone with the centres of Dundee, Aberdeen and Edinburgh set to also become Low emissions zones.
Two separate Argyll and Bute Council employees told me that I should contact SEPA and submit my own Freedom of Information request on this subject.
I replied that they should be contacting SEPA on my behalf as they were each employed to serve the Argyll and Bute Council taxpayers not the other way round.
It could be that they are not keen to obtain this information from SEPA as they already know something which they are trying to keep suppressed.
With the prevailing wind in Scotland blowing from the west the emissions from the nine whisky distilleries on Islay and the Maltings in Port Ellen burning peat 24/7 are ending up in the Glasgow area and on a windy, showery day in Edinburgh.

I think you should join the Green party. This kind of complaint is exactly the sort of true but wrong thinking that benefits nobody, imo.

The trouble is that the sensible nationalists get shouted down or thrown out by the blue faces.

Never met a nationalist you can get sense out of.

But is the sole point of the SNP to provide an opportunity for the people of Scotland to commit ecoconmic suicide by voting for an uncoated impractical independence? I think the SNP could be a force for a better Scotland, but only if they give up independence.

Why should I join the Green Party.
It is not my fault that some of the Argyll and Bute Council staff are incompetent and are trying to keep information suppressed.
They must have been getting lessons from the SNP controlled Scottish Government who have been fiddling their calculation of the CO2 emissions throughout Scotland by stating the Terms of Reference to the firm of consultants they have employed to carry out these calculations.

I think you mean an uncosted impractical independence.
Basically the SNP and their poodles the Greens want the Scottish electorate to vote in favour of independence and they will make up the answers afterwards.
