For a club like us to get that bit of the required/desired quality you have to be prepared to wait…last seasons squad when we played Mansfield around this same time was even lighter than it is now…

It’s sounds like there is a done deal on one and a couple of loans close to being done….and before DM has a melt down that’s not the end of the business..it’s just a part of it..

I was responding to your comments about pre season and strikers. You specifically refer to [comment from] …. ‘fans and external commentators’.
There are many comments on the net regarding last nights events and the points you raise

If you’ve read external commentators suggesting the outlook is bleak prior to last might then fair enough…I haven’t seen it.

I would be happy if Sharpe signed, but he wouldn't be our saviour on his own,we still need another 2 or 3 attack minded players as well.
The window is open until the end of August, but we really need most of our signings to be done before the first game, it's crucial we have a decent start, as once we are in the bottom 3,it will be hard to get out.

Would we have taken him on with that kind of record? I get the feeling Taylor would have. Not knowing ALL the in and outs of the court case and subsequent assault, the courts found it lenient enough just to fine him.

Playing for Exeter - 70 appearances and 19 goals.
Cheers had already forgot about him ! Taylor would have signed him ? but once he had the been exposed ! Most clubs would go nowhere near him, ours included

Another thing different this year is all ITK”s and the Bertie smalls are not pumping the names of targets around so when we don’t get them ,which I suspect will happen or have happened we won’t be as disappointed and use it to beat the club with a stick with…MT is doing things very differently if he names a target ie billy sharp then then that’s up to him..

The bigger picture will become more clear at the end of the week. I for one truly believe MT was looking to sign Brown but he's gone elsewhere. Sharps was a second choice and that situation is like waiting for the Marie Celeste to dock.

Wingers/Wing backs are now a very tall order. Bramhall for all his greyhound pace last night clearly lacked Fergie in front of him. It's the wing and forward slots that I fear may be a let down, then what? It's a wait and see exercise but the more it drags out, the less we'll be ready and the team will be unknown and probably unbalanced, which leaves me to probably choose a bottom three finish in CAM's ''Where will we finish'' competition.
Still 6 week of the window opening m8. Keep your chin up

most loan deals in the championship are outgoings to lower leagues. Prem league will hold on to there's as long as possible.
