200 runs in 30.2 overs. Meh, bit slow.

Despite the rather tame ending, that was a fantastic day for England. Australia look shell shocked, they're just not used to being totally dominated. Unfortunately, the Manchester weather has a major part to play. The forecasts I've seen suggest around 60 overs tomorrow, a washout on Saturday, and a 50/50 forecast for the fifth day.

I hope it's won or lost on the pitch, this series deserves to go to the wire.

My thoughts are that we come out and swing swing swing. Does it matter if we get blown away in an hour if we score 60/70 runs? I don't see any point in batting long with the weather forecast you mention.

Exactly, big slog tomorrow. Bat no longer than dinner and then have a bowl. We'll be lucky to rescue 2/3 sessions out of Sat & Sun.

Agree, although the lead is currently only 67 it's a game we have to win. Treat it like a T20 when play starts tomorrow, a lead of 150 would put them under real pressure if the Manchester skies are grey.
