Bairstow only has himself to blame. Anderson has an average of 9.2 for a reason. Therefore Bairstow shouldn’t have been taking a single until the final ball. In all likelihood the field would have come in and he would have found it easier to get a boundary and thus his century. Originally Posted by ncfcog

A bit harsh on Bairstow, the shot he played down the ground he obviously thought there was two in it, so would have retained the strike. I think it's always better to have a wicket keeper batman than a specialist keeper like Foakes
