Good point about the Villa connection Clarkey. We have to look towards recruiting players with a point to prove.We can't afford to go out and buy finished articles of a Championship quality in their mid twenties. Some may fail but I'm afraid that's just the economic reality of the situation.

The club obviously see potential in Andre Green. He's had a strange career to say he's only 24.A promising start with Villa and the Premier League but the move to Bratislava seems very odd. Does anyone have anymore information about him?

A friend of mine who's a Wednesday fan said he looked like a promising player when he was there a couple of years ago. Got some pace and puts himself about. This was in evidence yesterday at the Mansfield game I was impressed.

Apparently the reason it didn't work out at S6 was because the formation they were utilising at the time didn't include wingers, so he just didn't fit in to what they were trying to do. But a few of their fans were disappointed to see him go and saw his move to Bratislava as a shocking waste.

So if he comes here with a point to prove and talent to match, then this could be a very good signing.

As for McCart, he did ok yesterday but he seems to have a few mistakes in him. There were a couple of times we looked really shaky at the back and it always seemed to be when McCart was involved. At the moment for me he looks like Mansfield is more his level than us but I hope I'm wrong

As he was on loan last year at Wigan it appears he now needs a work permit so that’s what the hold up is according to The Advertiser.
