Thanks BT. On the question on midfield, where does Redmond fit in and, if we sign him up, Townsend? I would have thought that they would be part of the midfield set up?

We need a fair sized squad with plenty of practical and tactical options, Townsend and Redmond give us bags of experience and they can play a bit too! Both come on frees, there's not much not to like Sc.

We have had other targets- Flemming from Millwall and Vranckx from Wolfsburg spring to mind- we may still be in the market for another midfielder. I hope Benson’s absence is just injury, he is liable to knocks, and I wouldn’t like to see him sold at present.

What a change from the days when we struggled to fill the subs bench!

Even midfield is beginning to fill out. Add in Townsend and it is not looking bad. Lots of names in the “forwards” column. I am guessing that JayRod will not be sold, but Weghorst and Churlinov are surplus to requirements.

It is proving to be a good transfer window, I think.

Another Nathan would go down a treat.
