I don’t think we could’ve had Coventry until January anyway as he’s involved with other football competitions is what I heard

Shame about Fosu, maybe he needs to sort himself out (going on his personality on pitch)

Unpopular opinion but IMO we need TF more than we need Fred but more than anything we need a right winger....

We've got 4 decent CBs (with Hanks & Peltier as cover) ✓
We've got a LB/LWB who I think is good enough but Gru doesn't rate with only 2 x TB and Shane/Wilesy as cover (neither being good options) ?
We've now got a young, unproven RB with only Pelts & Bola as cover?
We've got centre midfielders to spare (5 by my reckoning and looking to add Tiehi) ✓
We've got Fergy out wide left - classy, but one paced, 33 by this time next year and can't expect him to play every game. Can Bola cover? But he's had his own injury problems? Green can play wide left (although like TF he's a right footer who prefers to play on the left) but he hasn't signed yet. Wilesy or even Ollie can cover but that's not a great option????

Forwards - Georgie (promising but unproven) and Hugill/Eaves (1 goal from open play between them last season) and Green can play upfront but he hasn't signed yet and even if/when he does, he can only play one position at a time?????

So we really need Green to sign, and we need a right winger (Fosu could do a job unless we can find any better) and we could use a better forward than Hugill/Eaves but that's not likely (Blackburn asking 5 million for Gallagher who doesn't strike me as much of an upgrade on Hugill & Eaves)

Ask Arsenal if we can have BN-C back as a midfielder/winger???
Surprised that nobody has mentioned Callum Lang at Wigan? Can't he exercise his right to a free? Maybe raid for him & McClean together although McClean wouldn't fit the 'good people' criteria, if we still apply that???

Good post and i agree we are very light upfront, we should try and get a young pacey striker on loan, this gives cover and options, you did miss off kayode
