You can use the word “may” in literally any argument just to perpetuate it, even when the “may” has a possible outcome of 0.00000001%.

I accept your premise, a player “may” go down that route just as a player “may” decide to machine gun down an opposing player in a fit of pique.

There’s always a possibility of the “may” happen.
