Some interesting developments on here while I've been sleeping.

First and foremost if people read what lead up to MillerTime's post they will see that gru berates people for commenting on games from what they see 'on a screen' and then goes and comments on something he's seen on a screen. Typically illogical logic from the king of it. Gru also says he doesn't get personal but of late he has been on a tirade around how he goes to games and so his opinions are valid whilst opinions of those of us who don't, aren't and he has specifically targeted ex-pats. Not abusive but personal, definitely. With regards HensonsPRman's call for a vote then I think we did that before and quite rightly it was called out for bullying. I get that Gru is the most frustrating poster by a country mile and just wish he would understand how he's impacting this board and change his ways but either he can't or he won't.

As for moving one Wordle thread to it's own board, unfortunately the moderators don't have the ability to create new boards so it's staying

MillersTime writes good insightful posts on footy which I enjoy reading. Gru does have def footy opinions, and the immediate centre defence injury crisis backs up his opinions on some things. But too often, footy posts are detailed by squabbles, all based mainly around gru logic and repetitions which can drive you mad. I wish he would stop posting, but don't think he should be forced to do so and tend to tolerate many of his posts, but there is always the option to personally block him if its too annoying. Clearly he won't/can't change and seems that many can't/won't ignore him. But you're posts are very much appreciated MT and hope you keep contributing. Try the ignore?

I disagree with Grist also on many things but miss his posts, a very distinctive voice!

Think the personal blocking thing could be more used is all.

Could we not move the Wordl thread to the barely used Internet Millers page? A decision was made a while back that long, off-topic (usually political) threads would be moved there. Although Wordl isn't political it's certainly long running and of interest to a small group of enthusiasts.

Since I'm one of them, I'm certainly not advocating we do this with any intent to be dismissive. The audience that want to talk about Wordl really wouldn't have any difficulty finding it there. I doubt there are any potential new joiners now who we would miss the opportunity of attracting by not being in the shop-window of the main conversation page.

While I'm here, I have no problem with Gru but regret that we are losing some good long term posters (Henson, Pocket and Grist to name three) who have become disenchanted with the atmosphere people like him create.

As to the game, it was summed up well by Zippie's amusing Facebook post showing the game on his TV screen at home in Wombwell with the camera panning slowly round to his, wife, step-daughter and dog all fast asleep across the room!
