Buddy, my comment was an ‘off the cuff’ born purely out of frustration. I’ll always be behind any Manager that is in charge of our club, until that is, they’re not doing their job correctly.

Taylor did very well last season keeping us in the Championship but for whatever reason, we’ve gone with the cheap option again with our defensive budget with some players and it’s bit us on the arse already one game in. How long before Morrison joins Peltier?

Anyway, the only way is up as Yazz use to sing and that’s how we should focus ourselves and get behind Taylor and the team.

Wouldn't surprise me if he plays more games for Donny this season than Morrison, Hall and Peltier play for us combined.

Here's the thing, footballers get injured....quite a lot.
But as players get older these injuries get worse and longer to heal, this happens to us all.
According to Taylor the training ground was contributing to the injuries last season, so we made changes in this area guess what...Still loads of injuries.
I liked Hall and Morrison last season , the bit I saw,but I did think it a little strange to offer these 2 and old man Peltier another contract.
I hope Green is fit for Saturday, and Tom Eaves is a welcome addition right now,but we need to get some points early doors,as once we are in the bottom 3,it won't be easy to get out.

Eaves & Kayode should be no where near 1st team. Kelly on bench till we can offload him. I don't go with this we're all millers got to support whoever wears the shirt got to good enough at level we're playing in to start with.

So Taylor's basically saying the budget's been spent already? Or, what he saw the other night did nothing for certain player's performances?

Hope he is not referring to McCart. Sending him out on loan with our Dad’s Army of CBs would be madness IMO.

Going on what we only see/hear I agree with you
Think Bola is definitely going out not that he features for us often so won’t be missed
Not sure on who else from that games he’s talking about, he’s already said he’s keeping Kayode around

These are the risks of having an old group of players, nobody forces us to sign these players all the decisions at Rotherham are carried out by the owners and the people running the club, so accountability is clear and this is the case for good and bad decisions. All this is bad luck crap comes from people clutching at straws to defend the people of making poor decisons. Signing Peltier was an awful decision, it was clear last season he was a journeyman coming to the end of his career and although he could fill a few roles he was not capable of being a first choice championship player in any position, you reap what you sow and MT got this wrong. I propose that we will see a lot of angoing injury issues to the older players through the season, we have gambled going for older championship experienced players and that is the risk. people keep saying "judge when the window is closed" this has its merits, however we will be 6 league games into a season by then and a bad set of results could have us in an unrecoverable position. We stayed up last year after a good start, we all know that a good start is crucial yet the club have not done enough to help us achieve that. I am sure will we now here a list of excuses, they may also have merit but that doesn't detract from the facts we have started a season with an unfit squad and a squad nowhere near capable of a successful championship campaign. The idea of football is to win games, that means scoring goals and we do not have a goalscorer at the club, our answer was to get another old man. Yes budget is a huge factor and nobody in their right mind wants TS to bankrupt the club, but we were told investment would be there, do not make promises if you can't keep them. We could have looked at bringing in younger players from lower down the league, other clubs do this, also the foreign markets, it is an easy get out to say we don't have the budget and there is nothing we can do. We have full time recruitment team their reason to exist is to find a way to bring in players, to be smarter when working with the authorities on paperwork, to identify potential lower league players to suggest strategies and players that could be worth a risk. Please don't come out with "what would you do?" it isn't mine or anybody elses job on here to do that, we have professionals that are paid to do that job and at the moment their output is questionable and that is what we are doing, raising these questions. Let us also not forget that MT says NONE of our young players are capable of stepping up to championship football, yet other clubs bring young players through, what does this say about our youth set up, we have had years and years to get that right and as of now it has also failed. Sorry to gru for writing another long post or to others for being down on things, as stated before it is my nature to look at the worse case scenario and then hopefully be delighted when proven wrong, but i feel the points i make above are valid, there has to be questions asked about this close season.
