I actually think we got a lot of things right Will. That the club was in deep financial peril following relegation and that a number of senior players would need to be sold to keep the club going proved correct. What I think we probably underestimated was that a high turnover of players was one of the things that actually was attractive to Vincent Company and helped sell him the job. We probably also underplayed the determination to get straight back to the Premier League and the vision as to how that could be achieved. Vincent Kompany was an appointment “out of left field” and I personally in my posts doubted he would join us. I was thankfully signally wrong in that. I am looking forward to the new season starting tonight. No-one (I think) on the board before the Huddersfield game predicted that we would go up as Champions and do so by a distance. Will we have surprises this season or just reality checks?

That is my understanding of the present situation as well Sinkov. I could not understand the signings Mr Pace made and at the same time giving Dyche a new contract. The two did not add up. And the signings we are doing now seems to be all VK. Mr Pace seems to be out of the picture now signing players. The AI scouting does not seeem to be something we’re using at all either. So no real consistency in my opinion. I’m not criticising Mr Pace, but I think we have a lucky Mormon running the club
Looking forward to see the documentary.

We won the Championship at a canter.

We have just committed to almost a £100 million in new arrivals.

Just what does Alan Pace have to do to convince you guys he's the real deal?

    Pay the debt off.

It will be mighty interesting to see what the "real" debt is on the books now sinkov. We have just spunked the thick end of a £100 million on new arrivals, he either knows what he is doing or Burnley Football Club is totally f*cked!

I’m not sure what you mean with “the real deal” BT. I wanted change in the boardroom and got it. I like a whole lot of what Mr Pace has done with the club, (except that he has done it with others money) but the spending this summer does not sit so easy with me.
I like a lot about him, and I don’t think he has made many wrong calls up to this transfer window perhaps. But it’s far too early to say just yet. 11 months from now we’ll hopefully know a bit more to pass judgment.

The real debt then is whatever it was before, plus the thick end of £100 million.

By my ready reckoner we are now about £150,000,000 in the hole.

That's one years TV money and nowt to worry about.

I'm not worried, the value of our squad in 12 months time could be astronomical, at the very least, that plus the TV money will certainly cover the debt we are racking up.

I have watched all four episodes of Mission to Burnley now and I must say I am very impressed with Pace and Kompany. They seem to have a technical knowledge of how football should work which is far greater than anything I have ever come across. I think the club is in safe hands
