Nemane made amends with his assist for the Bostock equaliser and gave their left wing back the runaround (until their player was humiliatingly subbed after 30-odd minutes). As long as we continue to score one more than the opposition, we may have to live with these mistakes.
    Totally agree with this.

Regarding taking a player off for making a mistake, does that include when strikers make a mistake and don't score?

Let's get behind the players - we got a win, why can't we celebrate a win and talk about Bostock's great finish or Crowley's winning header?

If we want to discuss something, how about 'Was it an own goal, or JJ's?'

Of course the win is great and deserved but the discussion evolved into the cause of a goal being scored against us. Nothing rude, nothing controversial and valid opinions but forward from all sides of the discussion. It ended quite amicably (almost). To repeat an oft used phrase, this is a Notts County FC message board and as such is open to discussions of all aspects concerning Notts County FC. It would be a very boring world if we all concentrated on the positives without reflecting on the negatives.

Spot on Smiffy. The last time I remember so much debate about a single goal was whether Geoff Hurst's shot had crossed the line in 1966! After watching the replay of Grimsby's first a few times, all of Nemane, Rawlinson, Brindley and Stone could have done better. But playing the blame game is like deciding who was most to blame for our relegation. Was it Nolan, Hardy, Kewell, Ardley or the players? We never came close to reaching agreement on that, but it was a lively topic.

It's perfectly possible to enjoy the positives but still discuss the negatives. Assuming the players got today off, I'm pretty sure Luke Williams will be talking about that goal as much as any of ours tomorrow.

Totally agree - my point though is as well as discussing the goal why can't we talk about our goals?

90% playing the blame game, 10% about our goals. As has been said, sums up Notts County Mad!
