I thought Jodi Jones was brilliant - the man we owe so to for getting us promoted - its claer to see - he delivers killer balls into the danger area

Regarding taking a player off for making a mistake, does that include when strikers make a mistake and don't score?

Let's get behind the players - we got a win, why can't we celebrate a win and talk about Bostock's great finish or Crowley's winning header?

If we want to discuss something, how about 'Was it an own goal, or JJ's?'
Can you imagine what would happen if all the back 3 made a mistake and they were all taken off? It would be laughable and songs like You don't know what her doing and Your getting sacked in the morning spring to mind.

If everyone who made a mistake was taken off, there wouldn't be many (if any) left!

As matt_magpie says above, Brindley should have busted a gut to put a challenge in on Rose, but by hesitating he made it easy for the striker. In the final analysis it didn't cost us 3 points, but hopefully when they watch the video back it will be a learning opportunity for Nemane, Rawlinson and Brindley.
Exactly that - the coaches will keep working with them to improve, some of our attacking was excellent and very exciting to watch

JJ's goal - OG or not OG? I dunno, but either way he's there causing loadsa trouble where it matters.

What needs to be said has been said on here about our winner: "Sublime" seems to reflect consensus. As brilliant as DC's run and header was, JJ's skill to beat his man and whip that cross over was top EPL/CL standard.

I'd add a word for Macca. Honestly I got a bit critical of his performances towards the sharp end of last season, but even though he didn't score yesterday, he made the first happen and was like a bleeding mosquito for most of the rest of the game. I did confess to maybe not understanding yet DMcG's role. Macca's efforts got similar 'results' goalswise yesterday, but the 'chaos' he caused in the Grimranks was an important part of our win, I thought.
I think JJ's cross was an og not sure it was on target if it hadn't hit Waterfall .. but he who dares wins !
Thought Macca absolutely worked his socks off even though it didn't happen for him in front of goal and he was even the one closing the guy down on the edge of the box when he skied it with their last shot.
McGoldrick seemed a bit too far up the pitch which put him up against the big centre half in the air too much but that was probably because we had to go long a lot - I would like him to drop a bit deeper and run at the centre back as he would rinse the majority in League 2 but as you say his role and getting on the ball will be defined the more he gets to play with the lads.
Although I thought the understanding was there at times between him ,Bostock and Jones - all proper ballers

If you're indecisive when trying to pick out a player from a throw, what chance when you've only got a second or two having beaten your full back?

Quite the opposite I imagine. Instinct isn’t the same as thought….it’s when Nemane has too much time he is less effective. When he flies by the seat of his pants he is exciting and unpredictable, a real terror to defend against I reckon.

On the subject on Nemane's throws, we commented that quite often there was little early movement from the Notts players who need to show more urgency and not put Aaron on the spot.

AN seemed to do quite a good job of picking JB out with his cross for our first goal.
