There's nowt we can do about Saturday, but the powers that be should publicly recognise that Madley got it wrong. If we can stop this happening again then that's a result as far as I am concerned and it will "get us points" in the future. That's probably the best we can hope for.

As it is, it feels like we're being used as guinea pigs for for a radical new set of rules.
Don’t hold your breath mate,we lost 2 points Saturday that 2 points could be ***** for us come end of season & you are happy with an apology. Why is it blanking V. I. T. A. L, out.

    Yes it’s frustrating
They could instruct their referees at the next say 3 Rotherham games to go easy on us. Both league games we’ve had a serious injustice and last season was the same
I’m not suggesting a ref ignores a pen or a straight red incident, perhaps don’t implement the silly, inconsistent decisions that were given on Saturday

I agree with the post above and I think a public apology would let everyone know it’s not working and some clubs are getting seriously short changed

But you’re right it’s 2 points we,ll never get back and could be pivotal to staying up

What should happen is that PGMOL should make the referees aware that their top assessor will be in attendance at the next RUFC matches because the group has had to issue apologies to the club for clear incompetence.

Nobody, least of all me, wants us to have any preferecial treatment from match officials. But by god we're not even getting close to a level playing field. It certainly feels at the moment like we are being forced to play by a different set of rules to other clubs in the division. Even Rob Staton (certainly no Miller) said as much on Radio Sheffield.

I didn’t know at the time I posted about a Wednesday player not being booked for celebrating with the fans for his goal that Madley was the ref, now don’t tell me he isn’t a cheat

Apparently one of our fans has seen Howard Webb, Bobby Madley and Kevin Friend having a pre-meeting chat in a Costa near Meadowhall before meeting with Matt Taylor (sounds bizarre but he snapped a photo and it does look legitimate).

Looks like the apology is coming but still doesn’t change that we’re 2 points worse off for it.

Errr.... where did I say I would be happy with an apology? I'm not "happy" about any of it! I'm still fuming but the best we can hope to get out of this is to try to make sure it doesn't happen again.

We're not Manchester United so you can jump and scream and shout about injustice as much as you want, it won't do any good.

I've seen the photo. It's definitely them. The twitter user spoke to them briefly and they were on their way to speak with Matt Taylor. By all accounts the tone was "apologetic".

Sounds like a bit of AI manipulation to me. Not sure that the ref has anything to apologise for - he simply applied the lettter of the law. Just frustrating that we then see other refs completely NOT do that!
