Ricki Lamie could leave Motherwell before the close of the window.

The experienced defender is attracting interest from the Scottish Premiership and lower leagues in England. Motherwell manager Stuart Kettlewell is reluctant to let Lamie go but knows he is at an age where he wants to be playing regular first-team football.

The 30-year-old has found himself on the bench at Fir Park this season and that has sparked the interest from elsewhere.

Motherwell could let Lamie go if that interest is hardened up over the last two weeks of the transfer window. Lamie has been at Motherwell since 2020 and signed a new deal last summer.

Kettlewell has reshaped his squad on a shoestring this summer. He has previously admitted that he is unlikely to do any further business unless he can move other players on.
