I have to say I am very disappointed at the Barnsley board and Media Department for their lack of coverage of the Women's Team on the dedicated section of the Official Website. (Go to the Official Website, click on "News", scroll down to "Women's Team News")
Having assured the fan base that, " If you want to get all the latest news from the women's camp we have a dedicated section on our website", then it is disrespectful of the status our Women's Team playing under the name "Barnsley FC" and fully integrated into the club to not have a single piece of news on the Official Website about the Women's Team since last Sunday. There was no Match Report on Barnsley FC 0 Alnwick 2 , no build up to the Wallsend game and no Match Report or news of the dramatic events at Wallsend, where an electrical storm of biblical proportions caused a sudden abandonment of the game with Wallsend leading 1-0.
I have yet again applauded Khaled and Julie for their superb work in setting up the new team. I know they will be keenly watching the team's progress and be as alarmed as I am at the lack of coverage on the Official Website as promised. There is no doubt an IT glitch in getting any news onto the dedicated section of the Official Website and once that is sorted the coverage will flow. Once again thanks to Khaled and Julie for your continued excellent work and I know you will share my frustration at not seeing the Women's Team get high profile coverage on the Official Website, at least equal to the Men's Team. I know I should relax and "let it go" but this continues to gnaw at me as it shows disrespect and a broken promise, which is not the way Khaled operates. This past weekend would have been an ideal opportunity to keep the profile of the team high as the Men had no game.
A disappointed Red.
Go Well JAQ's Women's Team !
