Hang loose awhile Hensons man, All fossil fuels are being phased out during the next few years and we will all be expected to be Net Zero Carbon Footprint. We have oil only in the village where I live and from 2026 new new oil boilers will be available for purchase, gas boilers to follow suite at a later date.
So if you are thinking about air conditioning you might consider heating and cooling options, though if you do ,you would have to have a split system with a evaporator in every room
As we speak I am pricing up air to water heat pumps , (heating only) . The Gov. are offering grants of up to £6000 but you have to fulfil quite a criteria of checks as to the thermal efficiency of your home as it stands
