And of course assistant referees love that sort of thing, especially when it happens right in front of them. And right in front of the benches too. Did anyone notice if Imrie went down as well in unison? How good would it have been if Munro had booked Waters for assimilation? Calum Waters, green weegie, Scotland caps at 4 under-age levels whilst at Paradise, failed to make the grade so took a career move into acting. There's a good Oscars post on Arabs United Fb. Hope he has a sh!te season.

    Having now seen the highlights...

Our goal was absolute class from Moult.

Their goal (I missed it as I was at the loo), FFS shocking. For me Gallagher has to clear that.

The red card. I thought so at the time and still think so, soft as ****e. Almost no chance of an appeal overturning it though (the footage isn't clear at all).

    Still unbeaten though. 🙂

In fairness if Imrie did go down there would be a good chance that it would be because Goodwin had elbowed him.

It probably will be a frivolous appeal, but I'd still appeal it, it's not a red, I don't even think it's a yellow tbh.

from memory the goal was actually a series of errors/poor play. We have a chance of going two up, but Middleton misses a volley on edge of box with a fresh air shot, which leads to them winning a fee kick, Holt misjudges resultant free kick/header and fluffs what should be a basic header, and then Gallagher/Walton do their best impression of Mulgrew/Spaghetti, with poor communication. At the match I thought the keeper should have been screaming for it, maybe he was, I've not watched it back, too annoyed/disappointed with the match to want to revisit it.

Either way, terrible play all round for the goal, which kinda summed up our poor level/lack of intensity for much of the last couple of home games. Airdrie felt similar second half, did the opposition ever look like conceding? No but all it takes is one chance, we got away with it against Airdrie when Gallagher cleared off the line, not so fortunate Saturday. If we actually played on the front foot more, especially at home, we might give ourselves more margin for error. We've scored early in both games too, so we can even use that as an excuse.

Walton was not a fault at all, he was badly let down not once but twice & had a 'what the f**k is happening?' face.
I do agree we have to be a lot more attacking, I worry Jim G is too negative, I've heard it rumoured.
C'mon Jim, give it a go..

This one kind of feels like a defeat, having been 1-0 up at home. Even more so with the late goal in Kirkcaldy sending Raith clear at the top.

Having had a couple of days to mull over it, I am putting it down to a bad day in the office. The ref, the opposition... even the gifting of a goal....none of it would have mattered if we had been clinical and less wasteful. Our tempo was all wrong and seemed to huff and puff without laying much of a glove on the opposition. We went for it in the last 10 minutes and had tbem on the ropes...with 10 men! If we had went for it at the start of the game, we would have been on Easy Street. We control our own destiny. Hanging on to a 1-0 lead and trying to just see out the game...gave them an opportunity. Morton were as poor a side as I have seen at Tannadice in many years and we didn't despatch them when we had the chance. GM's fresh air shot kind of summed up our day!

As for the own goal, these things happen, but........... I'm assuming that the keeper commiting himself (as he should have) after the first header not being cleared properly, must have called "keepers" you don't come out that far without letting your team mates know. If not , he is at fault, if he did , then DG's at fault. Can't blame Holt too much , anyone can mistime a header (but... he had a few) there were still 2 players after that attempted header that could have dealt with it.

I'm not picking on anyone in particular, we just need to communicate a wee bit better. Absolute shi*e way to lose the clean sheet, I'd rather it was a worldie.
