It isn't just the defeats it is the manner of them, even MT says how easy we are to play against, well that sits squarely at the managers door. A part from 20 minutes at Sunderland we have looked awful in every away game, no idea at all. Yes the players might come good and some sort of performance come out at Cardiff, but this lack of ability to get even a point away from home is relegation form, nobody can deny that. The happy clappers expect us to turn up on saturday and beat the top team in the league, we are likely to be better but even if we do maintain our home form that is only 31 points for the whole season where are the other 19 points coming from? that is 4 wins and 7 draws, or 5 wins and 4 draws, can anyone on here honestly say, based on what you have seen so far away from home you think we will get those results, and if so, please explain to the rest of us what you have seen to give you that hope?

Dexter has been doing well and deserves his place and lots of people were saying Bramall should be dropped and Revan should replace him............🤔
Not what I said, yes he wants to play them.

last night we played 3 at the back, one of them was Dexter. Yes he has played well but at RB, he went walk around a few times, last night at one point he was in front of Fred, are we playing overlapping CB's! nope, he just got lost and forgot where he was meant to be playing, that is if he has played there in training. Dexter does deserve his place but at RB. If we had one of those experienced CB's available, then Dexter would have been at RWB, and not RCB.

Yes Bramall should have been dropped. Seb, was making his debut at LWB, so needs time to settle and get match fit. He had to be subbed, and we end up putting Odoffin in CB and Blacket at LB. Again, if we had a CB available on bench he could have left Odoffin in midfield, and not brought on Appiah who wasn't effective.

So we had 2 players not experienced to play those roles for us. Neither had any cover and were exposed. If we had the injured CBs available we would have played differently.

    the away form
    https://www.rotherhamadvertiser.co.u...season-4344021

"MANAGER Matt Taylor surveyed the defeat that stretched Rotherham United's winless run on their travels to 18 matches and said the club's away form woe stretches back further than his time in the hot-seat."

"The manager helped to keep the Millers in the Championship last term and led them to three points at Stoke City as well as at Bramall Lane. They were the only two away triumphs of the campaign."

So MT was responsible for the two away triumphs last year? He had 37 games in charge.

Whatever he does won’t be enough for some.
Deep down he’s resented it’s impossible to hide for some.
    Just be honest it’s ok.

2 away wins in 19 away games,
took Warne 33 away games until he finally won at QPR

Who is openly resenting him? The resent for the previous manager lingers STILL.

I don't resent MT. I think he will be perfectly capable of doing well for us in League One which is where we are headed.

However some of HIS choices for players, tactics and general focus has been completely third rate at best.

We've gone for too many gambles for the sake of... Apparently.... Improving quality. Too many "he's played at a higher level" nobodies such as has been signed in the likes of Green, Morrison, Coventry, Fosu, Blackett.... I could go on.

When we have spent money - Nombe you've got to wonder what we have to show for it.

Warne got a fair bit wrong and I'm not sure in hindsight if it was him refusing to sign players or not wanting to manage players that had done more and seen more than he had as a player.

However the love in for Taylor is bizarre. He has done nothing but spend money and dismantle the squads identity.

Just because people point things out or ask questions doesn't mean the manager is resented.
I'll be completely honest, I thought Paul Warne had probably taken us as far as he could and I was looking forward to a change in approach from a new manager.
However, I have said from the outset that I don't know what to make of Matt Taylor because, although he speaks well, I can't really see any significant progression and we are still as dire away from home as we were under the previous manager.
Tony Stewart has invested a significant amount of money during MT's tenure and isn't known for his patience so I'm guessing things may have to start improving before too much longer.
Let's hope the team turns up on Saturday and takes all 3 points from the league leaders.

TS does have some patience, we kept Warne for 5 years and if he didn't go to Derby would likely still be here even if we got relegated last year
He waited around for Warnock to make his mind up about taking job full time, and ended up with Stubbs (thanks Neil).

Mellow read my comments from last night I questioned the manager.
It’s not about that imo some posters on here resent the flak PW took and imo again they can’t wait to point out MT mistakes because it somehow justify the job PW did.
Maybe PW took too much stick from people like me I don’t know but imo again some on here can’t hide there resentment towards MT because they feel as one poster said above we have a love in for MT.
Like I said it’s ok but just deal with the facts right now he needs to be better. Some posters only post when we lose. Against Norwich nothing after such a good display. It’s just my opinion i was honest about Warne but recognised when he achieved some on here can’t do that with MT it’s imo obvious.
